The BSSF Spring Program is an alternative method of participation through the Ben Stelter School Fundraiser. It allows schools to raise money in the spring of 2026, where each $1,000 they raise at a school earns them a McDavid Draw Ballot. The winning school in this draw gets a special visit from Oilers captain Connor McDavid in December or January of the 2026-2027 school year.
Schools participating only in the spring program will receive one McDavid Draw ballot for every $1,000 raised, with no participation or early registration ballots awarded. Spring-only schools are not eligible for fall student leadership prizes, including Most Money Raised, Driven to Lead, Best Marketing Campaign, and other fall awards. While a BSSF team member will be available for general contact, full school support systems (welcome packages, in-person visits, templates, support calls, and structured leadership programming) will not be available during the spring program, as those systems are reserved for the fall campaign.
Schools participating in both programs will have all funds raised in the spring and fall combined for the purpose of McDavid Draw ballots, and will also receive fall participation and early registration ballots if applicable. However, only funds raised during the fall campaign will count toward fall-specific student leadership prizes, meaning prize eligibility remains exclusive to fall fundraising performance while McDavid ballots integrate across both programs.
